A woman has shared the tiny tweak she made to her resume – which she claims helped her land four job offers in under a month.
Cerys Gardiner was searching for a new role when she realised something minor could be holding her back from securing higher level positions.
The 25-year-old marketing manager has gone viral on TikTok with over one million views, sharing how she crafted her CV – and the crucial change she made that led to nine job interviews in two weeks, and several offers.

“I did one thing that absolutely changed the game for me,” Cerys, who lives in East Midlands, told Absolutely Business.
She had been searching for a new position for a few weeks when she realised what may be holding her back – her age.
Her resume initially included the year she finished her diploma, but she was concerned that may put off recruiters, who may then overlook the six years of experience she already had in the marketing industry.
Having been applying for management roles at just 23, Cerys decided to remove any mentions of her age to avoid any bias – and within two weeks, had nine interview requests.
From there, she was offered jobs at four different companies.
She said: “I just can’t believe that in this day and age people are still holding age against anyone.
“I know people that will be twice my age and useless at what they do, and people that are younger than me that are incredible – and these companies should want to snap these people up.
“But we’re still caught up on age…and that narrative needs to go.
“Take your graduation year off your CV – it could be doing you more harm than it is good.”
Cerys says she created a traditional CV with “no fancy designs”, set out simply, listing her key skills, alongside a personal statement and her experience information.
She added: “I also made sure to remove some elements of a CV which are often included, like a profile image, address details, and any dates that gave away my age as a young professional – like education years.
“I often receive feedback that I come across as mature and people have been shocked by my age and experience in the past.
“I was 23 applying for marketing manager roles and was conscious people may have had a negative bias against my abilities based on this.
“Although I had six years of industry experience, I had only graduated that year as I was studying for five years alongside my full-time job.”
